’55 Vapid Stanier

The ’55 Vapid Stanier represents a completely different generation from the modern Stanier known in other series titles.

Rockstar officially uses the name Stanier and identifies it as a 1955 model. The vehicle has classic large body, two-tone painting, wide application of chrome, circular headlights, front railing wide, wide windshield, rounded roof, large rear fins, circular lanterns, white striped tires, chrome wheels, VAPID logo on the front and Stanier identification in cursive writing on the front fender.

The ’55 Stanier follows the design of American automobiles produced during the 1950s, a period marked by large bodies, abundant chrome and rear fins. Official images show a two-door vehicle with rigid roof and two-tone painting.

Community comparisons often cite the 1955–1956 Ford Fairlane and Oldsmobile 88 of 1955, but Rockstar did not confirm a specific real model. So inspiration should be treated as American automobiles from the mid 1950s.

The first official presentation specific to the ’55 Vapid Stanier took place in the Vintage Vice City Pack. Rockstar published four images dedicated to the vehicle.

In the first two, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos appear inside Stanier. In one of them, Jason appears with his arm around Lucia while holding a firearm. The others two images highlight details of the body: the front fender with the Stanier inscription and the rear region with fins and lanterns.

Stanier is part of the Vintage Vice City Pack, bonus related to the pre-sale of Grand Theft Auto VI. The package includes the ’55 Vapid Stanier, the Shore Court Garage, clothing and period hairstyles for Jason and Lucia and a gun pattern inspired by the classic aesthetics of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

The Shore Court Garage is presented as a personal garage next to Ocean Beach to store Stanier. The official description also links the vehicle to Shore Drive.

O ’55 Vapid Stanier has direct association with Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos in the official material. The two protagonists appear together inside the car in two promotional images of the package.

This does not confirm that the vehicle is unique to the protagonists or that it is linked to a specific mission; what is confirmed is the presence of the two characters in promotional images and the inclusion of the car in the package.

The name ’55 Vapid Stanier was published by Rockstar itself, unlike many vehicles initially identified only by the community.

The model should not be confused with the modern Vapid Stanier present in other titles of the series. One of the promotional compositions of the Vintage Vice City Pack also puts Jason and Lucia before the Ocean View Hotel with a ’55 Stanier in the background, reinforcing the package's connection to Vice City's classic visual identity.
