Speculative archipelago used on community maps east/southeast of Leonida.

Lucayas appears on community maps and theories as a separate archipelago of Leonida, visually inspired in the Bahamas and the Lucayan Islands. Rockstar did not officially announce Lucayas as a playable GTA VI region.

The hypothesis gained ground because the community map includes islands east/southeast of Leonida and because fans have been discussing the possibility of a Caribbean region or similar to the Bahamas for years. So far, there is no public confirmation from Rockstar that this archipelago is part of the final map.

Name Origin

"Lucayas" recalls the term Lucayan, historically associated with the Bahamas and the Lucayan Islands. This association explains the use of the name on fan maps, but does not prove that it is the denomination used internally or in the final game.

Maps and theories

Some community projects place Lucayas as a separate archipelago, with smaller islands and an urban area of its own. These details are not present in official material published by Rockstar.

Possible Caribbean region

Discussions at Reddit speculate that an area inspired by the Bahamas could appear in history for its geographical proximity to Florida and for smuggling issues. That's narrative theory, not confirmed information.

Editorial status

Not trusted. HubGTA documents Lucayas as a recurring concept of the community and not as a guaranteed part of the map.
