VCI AIRPORT
The main airport of Vice City, officially identified as VCI Airport on Grand Theft Auto VI signs.
VCI Airport is Vice City Airport in Grand Theft Auto VI. Its name appears directly in the road signs displayed in the official trailers, with the identification “VCI Airport” accompanied by the airport symbol. Airport infrastructure can also be observed in different promotional materials of the game, including tracks, aircraft and structures associated with the complex.
Although the community often expands “VCI” to “Vice City International”, the officially visible form in Rockstar signals is “VCI Airport”. The airport appears in both Trailer 1 and Trailer 2, as well as being related to several scenes involving aircraft.

VCI Airport is one of Vice City's main air transport references in Grand Theft Auto VI. Its first official identification occurs in Trailer 1, when a road sign shows “Kelly County — VCI Airport”, alongside other indications such as Catalan Blvd, Stockyard and Downtown.
In Trailer 2, the airport appears again in shape Even clearer in a road sequence. One of the signs indicates “35 NORTH — VCI Airport — Ambrosia”, accompanied by the aircraft symbol. In the same sequence appear indications for Port VC, Downtown, SW 9th Ave, Southside and Peacock Bay.
The official material also features several aircraft in the game universe, including aircraft, helicopters and other civil aircraft. An official screenshot made available by Rockstar shows a plane flying over the big sign “Vice City”.
In addition to the material officially released, airport segments were identified in development materials leaked in September 2022. These materials showed clue areas, hangars and structures related to private aviation. As this is leaked development material, this information should be treated separately from the content confirmed by Rockstar.
The community also relates the design of the airport to Miami International Airport, mainly by the position within the Vice City region, by airport structures and the internal transport system identified in development materials. This comparison is a fan review and not an official Rockstar confirmation.
1. First appearance — Trailer 1
VCI Airport is first identified on Trailer 1 by means of a road sign indicating “Kelly County — VCI Airport”. The same sign show Catalan Blvd, Stockyard and Downtown.
In another sequence of the trailer, the great sign “VICE CITY” appears, in the background, accompanied by structures that the community identifies as towers of airport control and radar. The identification of the towers as part of VCI Airport is based on the visual analysis of the material, while the existence of the airport is confirmed directly by the signalling.
2. Trailer 2
VCI Airport is quoted again in Trailer 2 in a road sequence. The plate placed on the left shows “35 NORTH”, “VCI Airport” and “Ambrosia”, accompanied by the aircraft symbol.
Other indications appear in the same structure: “97 / to 397 / Port VC / Downtown” and “EXIT 3 / SW 9th Ave / Southside / Peacock Bay”. The sequence establishes a visual connection between the airport and the Vice City bus network.
4. 2022 development materials
VCI Airport was also identified in leaked development materials in September 2022. The records showed parts of the airport complex, including runway areas and hangars associated with private aviation.

5. Autograph
Development materials associated with the 2022 leak present references to Autograph, a private aviation company related to the airport in records analyzed by the community.
The relationship between Autograph and VCI Airport is derived from Community development material and documentation, not from an official published description for Rockstar.
6. Internal transport system
Development records were also associated with an internal airport transport system. The community identified vehicles that appear to be part of an automated passenger transport system within the complex.
The possible inspiration on MIA Mover, Miami International Airport transport system, is a comparison made by the community and not an official confirmation from Rockstar.
7. Name VCI Airport
“VCI Airport” is the directly observable form on the license plates of official trailers. The community and different sites use “Vice City International Airport” as an expansion of the acronym VCI, but this full name does not appear in the same way in the official signals presented by Rockstar.
Therefore, in HubGTA, the main name must remain as “VCI Airport”, while “Vice City International Airport” can be mentioned as a denomination used by the community.
