For years they have been circulating in the community descriptions of a much more detailed police system for GTA VI. Among them are witnesses calling 911, cameras identifying suspects, vehicles taking time to get there and changing clothes helping to lose the police. The most important point is this: Rockstar has yet to publicly confirm this set of mechanics.
Where did the 911 idea come from?
Part of these theories gained strength after the GTA VI development materials that leaked in 2022. Fans began to interpret menus, events and behaviors seen in incomplete versions of the game. Since that material was of development and has been for years, it is not possible to assume that all observed systems remained equal in the version final.
Response time and reinforcements
There are also reports that the police could react less instantaneously and depend more on the location of the crime. It's a possibility consistent with Rockstar's search for more detailed worlds, but so far there's no official description of how the wanted level, vehicle dispatch or reinforcements will work in GTA VI.
Cameras and recognition
The same care applies to security cameras, plaque identification or character recognition after a crime. These features are frequently cited in videos and forums, but do not appear as mechanical confirmed in the official website of GTA VI.
Is changing clothes gonna erase the search?
Another recurring theory says that clothes, masks and vehicles used in crime could influence the identification of Jason. or Lucia. Today, this should be treated as speculation based on old materials and community interpretations, not as an already confirmed gameplay instruction.
There are reasons to expect evolution in the police system, but the information that really matters is still missing: the explanation of Rockstar herself. Until then, Hub GTA will separate what appeared in leaks from what was officially presented, updating this story when the developer details the crime system and wanted.
